Splice

Splice, 2022, is an interlocking/interwoven system that aims to decode how textiles created with biomimicry thinking interact with emotion. Originating from my emotional attachment to tokay geckos and a conceptual grounding in sustainable design, specifically Janine Benyus’ Biomimicry, this project also questions how emotional design could contribute to sustainability by reattaching links between humans and textiles, textiles and nature, and nature and humans.
